Fento Knee Protection to be reinforced by Auxilium Capital
FENTO Knee Protection, the Dutch kneepad specialist, has secured an important new investor in Auxilium Capital. These two parties have joined forces in a joint effort to bring FENTO to the global market.
FENTO is the market leader and specialist in the field of high-quality kneepads in the Netherlands and is well on the way to international expansion. The brand was founded in 2000 by physiotherapist Geert Kaal and sailmaker René van Rijn to jointly develop an ergonomic and comfortable range of kneepads.
Sabine Palinckx took the helm more than two years ago and has since been active as managing director at FENTO. Palinckx indicates that nothing will change in terms of operational management; “further product innovation will remain in the hands of the two founders and I too will continue to hold the same position. What will change, however, is that from now on thanks to the arrival of Auxilium Capital we will have access to a larger network and greater expertise and capacity.”
Auxilium Capital is also looking forward to this new collaboration with renewed energy. Jeroen Nienhaus, partner at Auxilium Capital, commented; “we believe that FENTO has the potential to become the global market leader in the field of high-quality kneepads. By responding to the high international demand and by focusing on the further development of existing products, the introduction of new products and the worldwide availability of the complete product line, we expect to achieve great results”. Additional financial details regarding this partnership have not been disclosed. At any rate, the two parties do not have a far commute between their offices in Amsterdam as they are located within a stone’s throw from one another.
